Mr. Ian Tarutia, OBE

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Tarutia is CEO of Nasfund and is a career officer with over 30 years of superannuation administration experience. He was initially Joint CEO since July 2007 and took over as sole CEO on 1st November 2011.

Mr. Tarutia holds a Bachelor of Business Economics and Masters of Business Administration Degrees from the University of Papua New Guinea. He also holds a Diploma in Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Diploma in Economic Policy Analysis from the PNG National Research Institute. He has also undertaken studies in Financial Markets with the Securities Institute of Australia (currently known as KAPLAN) and completed a number of specialist management courses abroad in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the Harvard Business School in the USA.

Mr. Tarutia is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Senior Affiliate of the Securities Institute of Australia, President of the Papua New Guinea Institute of Directors and current President of the Papua New Guinea Chamber of Commerce & Industry.  In other capacities Mr. Tarutia is a director or has served as a director on a number of listed and private company boards in the agriculture, aviation, catering, finance, properties, hotel, manufacturing, forestry, sports and savings and loan sectors. Mr Tarutia established the Nasfund Contributors Savings & Loan Society (ncsl) in 2003 to provide additional financial services to the Nasfund membership and today it is the largest savings & loan society in PNG by membership size. 


Ms. Anne Wilson

Chief Officer Member Services

Ms. Anne Wilson is the COMS of Nasfund and possesses a wealth of Fund Admin and leadership experience, she shares our vision of building a world-class superannuation fund for Papua New Guineans.

Ms. Wilson joins Seema Dass-Raju as the second female to be a part of  Nasfund’s EXCOM team.  Her qualifications, leadership, and technical capabilities as well as her rich experience include, an intimate understanding of regulatory requirements.

Anne holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Papua New Guinea, a Bachelors Degree in Business from Southern Cross University, Australia (Affiliated to IBS), and a Diploma in Accounting from the University of Technology, Lae.


Mr. Rajeev Sharma

Chief Finance Officer

Mr. Sharma, a commerce graduate, holds professional accounting qualification of Chartered Accountant (India), CPA (Australia) and is also a member of CPA (PNG). Mr. Sharma brings to the Fund a wealth of experience of more than 22 years in the field of accounting with reputable corporations in India, Middle East and PNG.

Mr. Sharma has held senior finance roles in PNG since 2002. He is also an active member of the PNG Accounting professional body and India Association of PNG.


Mrs. Seema Dass-Raju

Chief Risk & Compliance Officer

Seema is a financial professional with eighteen (18) years’ experience, working across a multitude of sectors predominantly in the Financial Services and Aviation sectors. She has worked in both developed and developing countries in particular Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Australia and Fiji. The majority of work has involved Internal Audit, Risk Management and Corporate Governance.

Since 2011, she has worked in PNG with the Big 4, where she managed a wide range of client across a vast range sectors including private, public and state owned entities.

Seema holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Human Resource Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from Auckland University, New Zealand, and an MBA from Southern Cross University, Australia. She is an Associate Member of CPA Australia and a member of Institutes of Internal Auditors in PNG and Australia.


Mr. Vincent Lialu

Chief Officer Human Capital

Vincent Lialu joined Nasfund Limited in January 2017 as Head of Human Capital. Prior to joining Nasfund, Vincent was the HR Manager for Puma Energy PNG Refinery, (Port Moresby, PNG) from 2014-2017. Prior to joining Puma Energy PNG Refinery, Vincent served as HR Manager with InterOil Limited since 2012 before the acquisition by Puma.

In his career, Vincent was employed by British American Tobacco (PNG) Limited and South Pacific Brewery Limited in various HR roles from 2005 – 2012. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Arts (HRM & Organisational Psychology) from UPNG and a fellow member of PNGHRI.


Mr. Rennie Wekina

Chief Officer Properties

Rennie joined Nasfund in August 2017 and is a property and facilities management professional.

He has built an established career in property in his over 27 year experience in the industry and has managed all aspects of property from concept design through to disposal.

He has been involved in a number of major property developments and projects in Port Moresby.

His corporate experience includes serving as Company Secretary and General Manager Properties for Credit Corporation and is a current member of the PNGID. He also serves on the board of the Port Moresby General
Hospital and as an alternate member representing the PNGCCI on the National Physical Planning Board.



Ms. Fiona Nelson

Joint Chief Investment Officer

Fiona joined Nasfund in August 2020, after having previously served as General Manager PNG Commercial, and former Vice President of Oil Search Asset Strategy

Fiona has over 15 years of experience in financial economics, public policy and portfolio management. Prior to her role with Oil Search, Ms. Nelson worked with PacWealth Capital as Head of Investments, Portfolio Management and previously with Kumul Consolidated Holdings (KCH) as Senior Portfolio Manager.

Fiona holds a Bachelor of Business Economics from the Massey University, New Zealand and a Master’s of Science in International Economics and Public Policy from Cardiff University, United Kingdom.


Ms. Doris Gedare

Company Secretary

Doris was appointed Company Secretary in 01 November 2020, after having been Manager Legal since 20 October 2014.

She has over 20 years’ experience in the legal fraternity, having experience in litigation and commercial law in various private law firms, starting her career with Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst Lawyers). Before joining Nasfund, Doris worked at Steamships Trading Company Ltd for eight years and prior to that, she had a 3-year stint with Department of Treasury.

Doris holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of PNG, and Master of Law from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.

Turaho Morea

Chief Officer Strategy Implementation

Turaho joined the Fund in 2004 and was instrumental in establishing the
Marketing & Client Relations Division.

The division’s functions grew from driving marketing strategies and
advertising projects to developing successful membership growth
initiatives.

Turaho was later appointed General Manager – Corporate Services,
overseeing operations and the Fund’s branch network. He was part of
the management team for nine years before resigning in 2013 to start
his own media company. Turaho is a journalist by profession and was
also a television news anchor for 11 years.

Turaho was re-employed by Nasfund on 11 February 2019, for his vast
experience in the superannuation industry to drive strategic objectives
to implement the Fund’s five-year Corporate Strategy.
