Voluntary contribution by mobile in PNG – A world first

NASFUND today announced Eda Supa- voluntary savings can be done by a member using their mobile phone. This capability being offered for the first time in the region and we think in the world.

Group Chief Executive Officer, bmobile-vodafone, Mr Sundar Ramamurthy said that

"We are again showcasing our innovation in PNG by partnering with NASFUND to offer this world- first capability using our network.”

NASFUND Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ian Tarutia said that

“NASFUND is committed to expanding their services to members and Eda Supa savings account is one of the ways that NASFUND wants to make voluntary savings accessible via mobile phone in a customer friendly way throughout the country. Members can now save through their bmobile-vodafone mobile phone any time & anywhere.”

Members can contribute between K15 to K500 with the transaction fees ranging from as low as K1. 

To contribute a member needs to ensure they have adequate balance and then dial *630# where they will be prompted to enter their membership number and Date of Birth. Transaction fees can be obtained by sending EDA to 630 via SMS.
