Super talk with Farmers in Wabag
World Bank has funded Coffee Projects in Enga Province through 3 lead partners and one of the lead partner Heart Corporative Society recently invited the NASFUND to promote its Eda Supa product. The team hosted two sessions, the first session registered 28 new members. Most of the farmers who signed up said that the product was what they have been searching for, in terms of having a savings account. The presentation was very informative especially noting its long term benefits. In the second session, the team visited the Wapenamenda Coffee Factory Ltd team leaders. The factory has 800 plus coffee farmers that saw 34 farmers immediately signing up after the presentation. BOIC, Geno Muspak said that before the year ends we have plans to cover college students, women groups, church groups and other farmers to include more members to this exciting local scheme which NASFUND is providing for those that are not captured in the superannuation ACT. The branch in its report has also collected 6 employee voluntary contributions, processed 38 ID cards and carried out 3 shop floor presentations.
