NASFUND Staff share the Christmas cheer with Mothers and Children at PMGH
NASFUND’s PUT A SMILE ON SOMEONE’s FACE THIS CHRISTMAS ‘campaign ‘ saw staff and their families turn up at the Port Moresby Labour Ward with boxes of gifts, toys and clothes on Saturday. The campaign was initiated a month prior to the visitation at the Port Moresby head office where staff were asked to voluntarily donate any items for the visitation. Last Saturday, the NASFUND staff turned up with boxes of presents, balloons and big hearts to put a smile on a sick child’s face along with their parents who were beside their sick beds. The visiting party also visited mothers at the Labour Ward. The visiting party brought along a cake to share with those they visited to put a little bit of sweetness to their day before parting. Chief Executive Officer, Ian Tarutia who was among the visiting team said that it was a very thoughtful act of giving and compassion and thanked staff who contributed towards this random act of kindness. He said that he was very happy to see that the visit had put a smile on children and their guardians and was moved by the successful outcome and ensured it would be repeated in future.
