In accepting his appointment Mr Vee thanked the NASFUND Directors for their confidence in him to lead the Fund as Chairman.
Mr Vee paid tribute to outgoing Chairman Hulala Tokome and said “Under Mr Tokome’s stewardship and guidance, a greater focus was placed on enhancing member services and strengthening our processes in the monitoring and evaluation of our investment portfolio. NASFUND today is a K 5 billion fund serving over 600,000 members. We also changed Fund Administrators in 2017 and appointed a new licenced investment manager in 2018 to meet our aspirations as the first choice provider of superannuation services. We have also commenced our 5 year Strategy for 2019-2023 which we had put in place mid last year which will enhance the value of our members’ savings for the future. The Board and I, supported by the management and staff intend to build on the good work started under Mr Tokome’s watch as we take the Fund into the future for the best interest of our members”.
